It’s just one of those not-so-loveable quirks of nature – the pervasive, all-encompassing, stubbornness of urine odour. No matter how much elbow grease you put into it with conventional cleaners, the smell just sticks around.

According to the makers of this product, that quirk of urine is due to the uric acid, which contains non-soluble salt crystals. While your elbow grease might take care of the urea and the urochrome (which gives urine its yellow colour), the uric acid crystals stay right where they are. So by the time you’ve put away your bucket and sponge, the smell has come right back again. Enzymes in the product work in combination with specially adapted microorganisms that “eat” the uric acid crystals, as well as removing the urea and the urochrome. So it takes care of the smell AND the stain.
