Once your pet ingests a Capstar tablet, the active ingredient nitenpyram begins working in 30 minutes. Entire infestations of adult fleas can be eliminated in as little as 6 hours. If you spot adult fleas on any subsequent day, administer another dose to ensure thorough treatment. Make sure you treat all infested pets in the household, as fleas can reproduce on untreated pets.
